*Hansel part 4 in the final installment in this Erotic fairy-tale. Full disclosure: it's a dark read. If you don't enjoy mind-bending stories with disturbing twists, this story may not be for you.*

Hansel.

Gretel.

They were captives who shared a wall, and cut a hole in it so they could hold each other's hands. Until he killed their captor, Mother. Then he disappeared, and as the world swooped in to save the Children locked away in Mother's house, the girl called Gretel became...lost. No breadcrumbs.

Finding Hansel, years later, is the shock of Leah McKenzie's adult life. Finding out how far she'll go for him- that's no surprise.

Leah's given Hansel - Lucas, he says it is - every piece of her herself. And he's been both cruel and kind.

What they share is dangerous.

What they feel is dark.

Their history is twisted.

Their hearts already broken.

And that's before the secrets are revealed.

 Excerpt

My pulse quickens as I see a long lump on the bed farthest from where I'm standing.

For a moment, I think I hear him talking in his sleep.

For a moment, I think of sliding under the covers with him, just to enjoy the irony. We are sleeping with a wall between us tonight, but instead of a hole he sawed, there's a door he left propped open. For once, we can actually reach each other.

But he said he didn't want your company

I exercise my will power and tip-toe slowly around the hotel bed, so I'm standing right beside his sleeping form.

At least I think he's sleeping.

His cheek is pressed against the pillow, and his unhurt hand is curled into a fist up near his chin.

I'm fighting the urge to touch him, battling the forbidden desire to lean down close enough so I can brush my lips over his damp hair. From where I'm standing, I can smell the shampoo he used. It's fruity; sweet. It's so at odds with his big, rugged body. As if to make me want him more, he shifts his hips a little, and the sheet covering his chest slips down, revealing huge shoulders, smooth, hard pecs, and the upper portion of his incredible abs.

Oh my.

That's a lot of muscle there.

I take a step back, feeling exhilarated because he's beautiful, and I'm a bad, bad girl for sneaking in to watch him sleep.

That's when his arm shoots out and grabs my wrist.

I let out a little cry as he jerks me toward the bed. Then he's sitting up. His hands close around my waist and I'm dragged atop his sheet-covered lap. He strokes up from my hips, over my sides, and over my bare shoulders, tickling my neck before he gets a firm grip on my face.

"What did I tell you," he hisses, "about coming into my room."

Review

   Rate: 4/5

I could not wait until this last installment came out. Talk about a huge cliffhanger with Book 3. I wanted answer's for Leah so bad. Luckily we didn't have to wait to long. This final installment wraps everything up nice and neat. There is no Rage or Fighting with Leah and Lucas. We start where we left off with Lucas in bed unconscious after going bat shit crazy in Mother's bathroom. Leah staying true to Lucas's wishes doesn't keep him in the hospital but has her doctor, triplet, sister come to Vegas to treat the infamous Hansel. Leah finds some interesting new information about the man she thought she knew so well. One of the biggest Holy *&^% moments and a question I thought to myself. Who is Echo? If you recall in the last book he covered Leah with a comfy blanket and states to himself it was Echo's blanket but never followed up with who he was. Well he is Lucas's adopted son. He has a nanny who cares for him when Lucas is away and is very well adjusted and cared for by Lucas. I have to say I gave this book a 4 out of 5 simply cause I felt it was very short its a book full of answers to all the questions you wanted to know. Like I said nice and neat. After learning such a bombshell all I wanted to know was how Leah was going to take the truth about her Aunt shelly who really was Lucas's social worker and soon to be adopted son. Once Lucas is finally awake after some confusion and self hate on his part he realizes Leah knows. She figured it out from the little he was able to spit out and then from Echo's room that has decorations Shelly bought for Lucas. After seeing these Leah finally puts the puzzle pieces together. What Lucas does not expect is Leah had already researched her Aunt's Murder and the circumstances surrounding her death. She knew her Aunt was already dead before Lucas found her. It also goes on to say how a reporter would call Leah asking questions about her captivity and tells Leah they were video taped the whole time she was there. The reporter goes on to ask if she knew about baby k. Hello who or what is baby K?? When Lucas is awake he finally tells Leah the truth of how he knew her Aunt shelly and that it was his fault Mother found and had taken her, because he talked about her. However, when Leah asks how he knew so much about her and how he was captured by Mother he decides not to tell the truth and evades the question. I have to admit I can understand Leah being a patient saint but I expected some other reactions from her some time to process what she learned, but no she remains totally ok with it. Leah just leaves and returns to her home no super good bye nothing just weeks later. Leah finally tells Lana what Lucas confessed to her about Shelly and his part in it. Lana tells their mom who has to come clean with a secret she had been keeping. Ready for the Crap moment. Leah's mother was going to adopt Lucas after Shelly's death then decided not to giving him instead to Mother. She didn't know who Mother was at the time. She feels awful and offers to turn herself in. For what?? I don't know she didn't know the women was a super psycho. Leah will then go back to Vegas to find and confront Lucas again for closure. She finds him and he is super happy and non brooding. She is unsure of the change in him but happy for him all the same. They have a small dispute over who donuts could be for a new girl friend maybe, Not. After Leah comes clean about what her mom did and how she found out. Lucas of course does not hold her accountable. He then goes on to tell Leah why he finally killed Mother. To protect Leah. Mother was talking way to much about Leah and Lucas worried for her. He tells in detail how he drugged her and then searched her home. Finding a toddler locked in a closet he realized the child, the baby girl was his and he never knew about her and worse she was mistreated and barely taken care of. He knew who she was because she had his eyes he says. Eventually he connects with his daughter Kinsley now 15 (baby K) and she is aware of how she was conceived and who Lucas actually is. Again Leah takes this news remarkably well. To well for me and again the reporter tried to tell her. To end after some steaming love scenes the two agree to be together as two halves to make a whole. They are both damaged but together with the truth out you feel they will heal each other. So Hansel and Gretel get their Happily Ever After.
